There are 12 category main types of otaku, which are:

Anime otaku.
The largest otaku sub-type. These people like to watch and collect Japanese anime. 2ch believes it has successfully divided anime otaku into two distinct types:

Type A:

A person who simply enjoys “anime.”

Is proud of Japan’s anime.

Evaluates anime based on direction, voice acting, art, etc.

Hates shallow anime with no real content.

Story emphasis >>>>> Moe anime.

A recent example would Higashi no Eden. Fans of anime like Lain or Ghost in the Shell would probably be this kind.

Type B:

A person who simply enjoys “characters.”

Will watch an anime if it includes cute or beautiful characters.

Doesn’t care if story is awful, as long as the characters are of interest.

Evaluates anime based on which seiyuu are in it and what the characters look like.

Loves moe elements. Doesn’t like complex anime.

The otaku the media picks up on are usually this kind.

Doesn’t know that much about anime and so is often criticised as by Type A otaku.

However, they make much better customers than the more discerning Type A otaku.

Recently there has been a huge increase in anime targeted at Type B otaku.

People who like K-ON!, Queen’s Blade, Strike Witches and so on would be in this class.

Manga otaku.
These are people who read and collect manga (Japanese comic), some of Manga otaku also write/draw their own Manga.

Seiyuu otaku.
Seiyuu is anime voice actor/actress; this type of otaku can recognize the voice of the seiyuu just by hearing the voice. They also purchase seiyuu song albums and follow seiyuu events.

Cosplay otaku.
Person who dresses like character in anime/game. Cosplay begun in the year of 1976 when a participant in comiket dressed as Umi no triton. in 1990s cosplay exploded and became huge things thanks to the anime culture (Evangelion mainly) in Japan. Nowadays, the practice of cosplay in one’s own home and taking photo of you has become prevalent.

Figure otaku.
People who collect figures or plastic models. There are two types of them, first one is the people who collect expensive figure or resins, and the second one is gachapon/gashapon collector (gachapon is small trading figurines with random content, where in Japan you can buy it from machine).

Maid otaku.
Also known as meidosuki (which means maid love). These otakus love people who dress and acts as maid. Some people may ask “why do people like maid?” The answer is because the desire of power, “Ah, it’s a maid that will do all whatever I say”

Idol otaku.
Opposition of anime ota. Idol otas are interested in real human (in japan this is called 3D) instead of animation/drawing (this term is called 2D). These otakus comes idol events, collect idol trading cards and photo books.

Game otaku.
Person who likes to play and collect game. In Japan, most of these type of otaku can be seen hanging around in arcade games, and majority of them are good in fighting games.

Gunji otaku.
These are peopling who really into military, weapons, military vehicles, etc. Gundam lovers are considered as gunji otaku.

Eroge otaku.
Eroge means erotic game. These kinds of people like to play erotic game (Hentai game). They also collect ero game characters merchandises.

Tetsudou otaku.
Railroad/Train otaku. There are two types, noritetsu: people who love travelling by trains, and toritetsu: person who love to take photos of them. Seems like not many of this otaku sub type found outside Japan.

Pasocon otaku.
Pasocon means personal computer, these otakus are the personal computer geeks. Usually these otakus have their PC equipped with the latest and most advance computer parts.

Starting here I can indicate some otaku that I have now… the official here is anime otaku and pasocon otaku… also some err-ero desu, wakaka. There is no compulsory otaku might be have to be one of otaku but if you have one in the listed above, you’re have potential to be one of the otaku at that category referred. The word of otaku itself referred to obsessed. But outside of Japan, otaku automatically referred to anime, manga and video games geek, which just some part of them.

OTAKU & KAWAN

Hai!

Apa erti kawan?

K-kalau
A-awak
W-wangi
A-agak
N- nakal

HAHAHA!!! Gurau je. :P
KAWAN? SIAPA KAWAN?
Apabila saya tanya rakan-rakan tentang kawan, mereka cakap……
Kalau nak tau, ikuti Dailog dibawah:-
Sayuri: Korang, apa pandangan korang tentang ‘kawan’
Riri: Orang yang boleh menjadi tempat aduan. XD
Sayuri: itu dah macam kauselor. (-_-)”
Milo: Kawan makan kawan. :P
Sayuri: Oit! (.-.’)
Sayuri: Jadi, aku ni DURIAN la? (o.O) Suka hati je nak makan aku.
P/S: ini saya edit sikit je…

So, the meaning of point is kawan boleh mempengaruhi kita.

Ok, apa kena mengena dengan otaku?
Senang je, saya ni menjadi terpengaruh dan menjadi seorang otaku kerana seorang kawan yang durjana ni.. hahaha.. just kidding.. she the only one how create monster!! Another joke, okey!
Sekarang dah panggil anime, thank to her). Aku mula menjinak-jinakkan diri membeli komik pada umur 13 tahun  iaitu ketika tingkatan 1. Time tu, aku hanya fokus kat komik Sailor Moon.
Nak dijadikan cerita, one day, dia nampak aku membaca komik di sekolah. Baru ku tahu rupa-rupanya dia pun mempunyai minat yang sama. Time tu, aku ni jenis minat yang biasa-biasa saja. But thanks to my devil friend, she turn me become a monster!! Aku sanggup berlapar kerana mahu membeli manga. Jahat ko ni!! Hahaha… at the same time, aku berkenalan dengan rakan di kelas sebelah yang telah di asak masuk oleh devil friend. Pun sama minat.! And then my devil friend kena pindah sekolah kerana prestasi dia merosot, pun akibat kitorang, time-time peperiksaan pun, kitaorang baca komik. Hehehe..

Teacher  pun terperajat tengok keputusan Bahasa Inggris PMR aku.. hahaha…

You see, dari bahan bacaan menjadi minat. Kawan menjadi pendorong. Minat menjadi hobi. Kerana hobi dan minat, aku mempunyai ramai kawan-kawan otaku..

Okay, yang kat atas tu memang kisah aku (maybe, aku tambah tolak sikit je). Hehehe…

So.. korang faham maksud diakan??

The Point yang aku mahu kongsi ialah
  1. 1.       Kita harus berhati-hati memilih kawan
  2. 2.       Kita juga harus menghargai kawan-kawan
  3. 3.       Sentiasa membantu rakan yang memerlukan bantuan
okey?

sampai di sini sahaja nurkilan saya. so.. jannee~~
